I believe that everything that happens in life, whether good or bad, happens for a reason.   And while I can get caught up trying to get to my destination, ultimately it's the journey that's the most important. 

As a former Foreign Service employee turned writer, mother and Foreign Service wife, I've traveled all over the globe only to discover that my most important journeys aren't geographical but internal.  

Since I'm a writer everything that happens to me ends up on the written page in some form or another.  It usually starts as a way for me to figure out my experience then ends as a way to share them with others.
